In my , Dr Angur’s view Directing is really a complex managerial function . It includes different activities like Supervision , Motivation, Communication and Leading .
- Supervision : It is an element of direction. Supervision is very important as it is closely related to overseeing the work , guiding and ensuring the targets are met by employees or not.
- Motivation : Motivation is the process of stimulating people to act to accomplish desired goals of organisation.It helps individuals and groups in an organisation to improve their performance . Also sometimes managers offer them incentives financially and non financially. It assumes that a satisfied need seldom motivates and only a higher level need can motivate a person .
- Leadership : It is the most important factor in the success of an Enterprise .It is the process of influencing people to strive willingly for group objectives .
- Communication: In organisation both Formal and Non Formal communications simultaneously takes place. The Managers should take steps to overcome barriers in communication and promote effective communication.
